Meeting the Ghostcats-cathug rytsa emoteAs Oki wandered the land, she came upon the ghostcats, strange and mysterious creatures that lived in old ruins of abandoned towns. Enamored by their odd and curious behaviors, she built a cafe where the cats could relax and meet people and she could care for them in a way they deserved.

What tools do you use?While watercolor is the primary medium, I am actually a multimedia artist! I use everything from ink to gouache to color pencils in my pieces. For most pieces, I use Copic liners, Kuretake watercolor, winsor newton hot press watercolor paper, and touch ups with color pencil and posca.
What does your name mean?Oaktea is a type of medicinal tea made from the bark of white oak trees. I love herbology, and you can often find this symbolism in my art! ♥
When is [insert thing here that Oak needs to do] going to happen?I am really slow at everything, sorry!! I do all of this myself and it's a lot of work; if you are waiting on something from me (for example, a giveaway prize) don't worry, I do keep track of everything and I make sure it goes out, but it can take a while sometimes ~ thank you for your patience! ♥
What are your influences as an artist?I love everything retro (60s-90s)--fashion, anime and manga, art etc. Artists that inspire me include CLAMP, Leiji Matsumoto, Haiyao Miyazaki, Junji Ito, Ai Yazawa, Naoko Takeuchi, Aubrey Beardsley, Egon Schiele, and numerous, numerous others!
What setup do you recommend for traditional art streams?This is a bit complicated and I want to make a youtube video to actually answer this question in depth 😂 but to answer as best I can, it takes a while to put together a good setup unless you have a lot of money right away. So do the best you can, there is nothing wrong with assembling as you go! ♥
What equipment do you use to stream?-Art Cam: Cannon M50 Mark II-Elgato multimount system, Wave 3 mic, and lights-Face cam: logitech c920

Rules
Entrants must create an original artwork inspired by Oaktea's "Starberry Oki" piece. Entry cannot be AI generated and must be the creation of the entrant.
By entering the contest, you are giving Oaktea permission to host your work on this website and to share it live on stream. All work will be credited to their respective artists.
Winners must be over the age of 18 or have the permission of their parent/legal guardian to receive prizes.
If winners are unreachable within 30 days, a new winner will be chosen.
Oaktea reserves the right to adjust these rules at any time as is necessary.
